Creating a Choice
Overview
Choices provide an exact list of values that the user can choose to ensure data consistency and improves the quality of the data. With the help of Choices, you can create meaningful reports. Similar to tables, choices are both types such as standard choices and custom choices.
To create a choice
- In the left pane of the SkyPoint Studio, open Vault.
- Select the Datavault that you want to view the tables and choices.
- Click the Choices tab.

SkyPoint Datavault includes many standard choices that are created each time by the system when you create a Datavault. By default, standard choices are created as global choices, allowing them to reuse across multiple tables.
- Select New Choice.
A new window appears to create the choice.
- Enter Display name and Name.
- Select the Choice type such as Standard or Custom from the drop-down list.
- If you want to enable customization, select Enable customization check box.
- Click Add new Item to start creating a list of options.
- Click Create to save and generate your choice.
Edit and delete a choice
- Go to Datavaults > Table.
- Open the Choices tab.
- Click the horizontal ellipsis in the Actions column of the Choice and do the following:

- Click Save to apply your changes.
